Media Coverage for DEAR

It probably goes without saying that school library advocacy and getting the word out to our politicians, senior administrators, school administrators, and of course parents and the public at large, is everyone's responsibility. BCTLA would like to thank all those school library advocates, administrators, teachers, and teacher-librarians' that contacted their local media outlets to spread the word about the celebration of about school libraries, literacy, and the vital role that they play in developing lifelong lovers of reading that value literacy.

From the Nelson Star

From the Kamloops Daily News

Did you arrange for local media coverage? Did you send a write-up and/or photo (or two) to your local newspaper or digital news outlet? Did you hit the airwaves to promote DEAR and school libraries in your neck of the wood?

We want to know about it!

Please share your public stories and email Jeff Yasinchuk, VP advocacy, at jyasinchuk@gmail.com.
