'DEAR' 2010 BOOKMARKS NOW AVAILABLE!
Our digital graphic guru, Mr. Al Smith, has created and posted a copy of the official DEAR 2010 bookmark. Feel free to visit the BCTLA website and download the digital version! We strongly recommend that teachers send out the digital version to a professional printer in order to have the bookmarks printed on the appropriate weighted paper. Garner Support from your MLA
Supporters of the BCTLA and the 'Drop Everything and Read' campaign to get the fourth Monday of every October declared BC School Library Day are strongly encouraged to email their MLA! Let's make this happen. Please email them today!

I had a positive conversation with the Minister of Education's assistant last week, and the Minister, Margaret MacDiarmid, is still keen to go ahead and begin the procedure of recognizing the fourth Monday of every October as BC School Library Day in conjunction with National School Library Day event.
